What Happens When My Child Becomes Ill At The Facility?

Daycare Sheepshead Bay treats children’s well-being critically, so in case a child gets sick and has any of the following signs: fever, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, and/or severe coughing – dad and mom can be contacted immediately and ought to pick up a child from the daycare within an hour.

 

What Happens If My Child Misbehaves During Instructional Time?

We do not agree with or use punishment.We believe in self-discipline techniques that effectively instruct children to control their behavior, hold them from damage while merchandising healthful development, and stop unapproved behaviours from happening again in the future. This technique redirects any behavior that is not desirable by way of allowing the child to have some quiet time inside the group, although enticing in an individualized undertaking until unwanted behavior stops.

 

If My Child Requires Medication, Will A Staff Member Be Able To Administer It?

We cannot and will not administer any medication, over the counter or prescription. We will only administer first aid as needed, along with topical antibacterial ointment.

When Are Payments Made?

Payments are due on the first of each month. Just in case of need we are able to provide a five-day extension for payments made fully,after the fifth day you’ll be charged a late payment fee of $5 per day until payment is received.

 

How Qualified Is The Staff At Little Scholars?

All our teachers are certified in early childhood schooling training. Our lead teachers have advanced degrees and licenses in childhood education. All our educating assistants have every year training as mandated through today’s NYS DOHMH.

 

What Do You Do In An Event Of An Emergency?

Depending on the type of emergency, parents will be contacted as quickly as possible. They will be notified as to the type of emergency and expected to proceed in the matter in a helpful and attentive manner.
